Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how SortaHub ships orders. SortaHub is based in Ontario, Canada and ships worldwide. Shipping details for a specific order are confirmed on your quote/offer or invoice.

1. Order processing

Orders are generally processed after payment has been successfully received or, for approved business customers, after a purchase order or invoice has been confirmed. Processing times vary depending on product availability, supplier processing times, and order volume. Unless otherwise stated, estimated processing times are provided for informational purposes only and are not guaranteed.

2. Product availability

Many products offered by SortaHub are fulfilled directly by our suppliers or distribution partners. While we strive to maintain accurate inventory information, product availability is not guaranteed until your order has been accepted and confirmed. If a product becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we may cancel the affected item, offer a suitable replacement, delay shipment until inventory becomes available, or issue a refund for the unavailable item.

3. Shipping destinations

SortaHub ships throughout Canada and to many international destinations. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel shipments to countries or regions where shipping is prohibited by law, export restrictions apply, carrier service is unavailable, sanctions or trade restrictions prevent delivery, or delivery cannot reasonably be completed.

4. Shipping methods

Shipping carriers are selected based on factors including destination, package size and weight, product type, supplier location, and available shipping services. Unless otherwise agreed, we determine the most appropriate shipping method for each order.

5. Processing & dispatch time

Products are sold under one of two delivery modes, stated on every product page. Products we hold in our own Ontario warehouse are packed by us and generally dispatched within 1-3 business days. Products described asordered in for you are ordered on your behalf when you buy, and generally reach you in 2-4 weeks. Where an order contains both, we tell you before you pay and ship them separately. These windows are estimates: processing times may vary with lead times, inventory availability, holidays, weather conditions, customs clearance, and carrier operations, and are not guaranteed.

6. Delivery estimates

The delivery estimate shown on a product page and on your invoice is our good-faith expectation, not a guarantee. Actual delivery times may vary due to factors beyond our control, including processing delays, customs inspections, transportation disruptions, weather conditions, carrier delays, local delivery conditions, public holidays, or force majeure events. SortaHub is not liable for delays outside our reasonable control. Nothing here limits your rights under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, including the cancellation right described in our Consumer Terms of Sale.

7. Partial shipments

Orders containing multiple items may be shipped separately from different suppliers or warehouses. Separate shipments may arrive on different dates. Partial shipments do not entitle customers to cancel or refuse the remaining items unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Shipping charges

Shipping charges, if applicable, are shown on your quotation, offer, or invoice before your order is confirmed. Certain products may include shipping in the purchase price. Additional charges may apply for remote delivery areas, oversized products, expedited shipping, special handling requests, or reshipment caused by incorrect customer information.

9. Customs, duties & taxes

International shipments may be subject to import duties, customs duties, brokerage fees, value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax, and other government charges imposed by the destination country. Unless expressly stated otherwise by SortaHub, these charges are the sole responsibility of the recipient, who is responsible for complying with all applicable import laws in their destination country. Failure to pay applicable customs charges may result in shipment delays, returned shipments, abandoned shipments, or additional carrier fees. SortaHub is not responsible for customs-related delays or charges imposed by government authorities.

10. Shipping address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. SortaHub is not responsible for delivery failures resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses, invalid postal codes, unavailable recipients, refused deliveries, or customer-requested address changes after shipment. Additional shipping fees may apply for returned or redirected shipments.

11. Tracking information

Where tracking is available, SortaHub will provide tracking information after shipment. Tracking availability depends on the shipping carrier and service selected. Tracking updates are provided by the carrier and may not always reflect real-time shipment status.

12. Risk of loss & title

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, title to and risk of loss for products transfer to the customer when the shipment is delivered by the carrier to the shipping address specified in the order. Customers should inspect deliveries promptly upon receipt.

13. Damaged, lost, or missing shipments

If your shipment arrives damaged, appears incomplete, is lost in transit, or has not arrived within a reasonable period, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Where requested, customers should retain all original packaging, provide photographs of damaged products and packaging, cooperate with carrier investigations, and provide any additional information reasonably required to process a claim. Claims may be subject to carrier investigation procedures.

14. Failed delivery & returned shipments

If a shipment is returned because the shipping address was incorrect, delivery was refused, the recipient could not be contacted, customs duties or taxes were not paid, the shipment was abandoned, or delivery attempts were unsuccessful, SortaHub may charge additional shipping fees before reshipping, deduct carrier charges from any refund where permitted by law, or cancel the order. Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

15. Events beyond our control

SortaHub is not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, customs inspections, transportation disruptions, labour disputes, carrier service interruptions, supplier delays, pandemics, war, civil unrest, cyber incidents, governmental actions, or other force majeure events.

16. International compliance

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products ordered may legally be imported into their country. SortaHub is not responsible for products delayed, refused, confiscated, or destroyed by customs or other government authorities due to local import restrictions.
